Winchester Model 54 Carbine bolt action made in 1929 by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Blued Winchester 20" Nickel Steel barrel with Winchester 2-line address, integral pin bead/blade front sight, plugged rear sight, Lyman 48 receiver sight, and chambered in rare .32-40. Barrel is marked on underside "32-40", "NS", "(triangle) 1", "VP", and dated "28". Blued action with correct 2 factory holes in front bridge and non-drilled rear bridge. Bolt marked with rifle serial number "22219A" with an unbent bolt. Blued 1-piece trigger guard and factory-style hook and eye sling swivels. Correct walnut finger groove pistol grip stock with correct serrated steel buttplate. CONDITION: 90%+ blue on barrel with some corner wear. 90% action finish with bolt showing some light silvering. 90% floorplate blue with corners starting to turn a plum patina. Wood has some scratches and handling wear with added light coat of oil and may have been lightly cleaned. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
