Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight with "P" proof in front of front sight. Left side of slide with "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.". Barrel marked "P" on left lug, "HS" on right. "H" proof on top of frame near disconnector hole. Frame with FJA proof on left side for Atwood, just under slide release, and "P" underneath magazine release. Right side of frame with crossed cannon cartouche, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", serial number, stylized flaming bomb, and "FK" (Krack's mark) stamp all behind slide pin; "M1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" on dust cover with "RIA" rebuild stamp underneath. Right side of trigger guard with "4". Grips are Coltwood grips with large reinforcement rings. Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, serrated slide release, checkered thick tab safety, checkered magazine release, short checkered stamped trigger. Long 1911A1 grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Magazine has been parkerized and makers mark is no longer visible. CONDITION: Very good as rebuilt and assembled by Rock Island Arsenal. Retains the vast majority of the reapplied parkerized finish, with some handling marks throughout, including some silvering marks. Some very fine pitting is visible on right side of the dust cover underneath the parkerization. Frame is very good with some silvering to high edges and some handling marks to the straps. Mechanically fine with some silvering to reciprocating areas, bore is excellent with strong rifling and some minor frosting. EMW
