One of 2,500 Colt Gold Cup National Match Series 70 semi automatic pistols made to commemorate the 1971 centennial of the National Rifle Association. Classic configuration with high polish blued finish. 5" barrel chambered for the standard .45 ACP cartridge. Slide marked on left "1871 NRA Centennial 1971/THE FIRST 100 YEARS OF SERVICE/.45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER" between scrolls and "GOLD CUP/NATIONAL MATCH" on right. Matte serrated rib with fixed blade front sight and adjustable square notch Elliason rear. Skeletonized trigger and serrated small parts. Grips are 2-piece checkered walnut with gold NRA logo medallions. Housed in plain cardboard box with factory paperwork and tool. CONDITION: Excellent. Virtually all of the factory applied blued finish is retained with a few handling marks. Grips excellent. Very fine bright bore. Mechanics a sticky. BAS
