Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight with "P" proof in front of rear sight. Left side of slide with "ITHACA GUN CO. INC. / ITHACA, N.Y.". Barrel marked "P" on left lug, "F" on right lug. Left side of frame with "FJA" proof for Atwood under the slide release, "P" proof under magazine release. Right side of frame with "1 911 A1 U.S. ARMY" on dust cover, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY / (serial number)" and crossed cannon cartouche. Small parts comprise narrow serrated hammer, thick tab safety, and slide release. Checkered magazine release and short stamped trigger. Long 1911 grip safety, and arched serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Grips are Keyes fibre with reinforcing rings. Full blue magazine with "R" on baseplate lip indicating Risdon manufacture. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the parkerization with some handling marks and some silvering marks. Some silvering and softening to some of the fore edges, such as at the dust cover. Nicely visible temper line at slide, and appropriate burnishing in the cartouche. Minor takedown mark. Action works appropriately, although is somewhat sluggish due to presence of cosmoline, with a good bore that has visible rifling and even frosting throughout. EMW
