Model 1906 American Eagle Luger manufactured by DWM for commercial sales within the United States. The receiver bears the American Eagle crest over the chamber, with the toggle bearing the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Front of frame is stamped "GERMANY" below the serial number. Visible matching numbers are present on the frame, grip safety, locking bolt, sideplate, barrel, and rear toggle link. Grips do not match, but match themselves, with the wood magazine bottom being unnumbered. Internal serial numbers cannot be verified, as action is seized, requiring gunsmith attention. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original rust blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and some thinning overall. Grip safety spring has been broken and repaired at one point in time. Grip straps show areas of wear showing through to brown patina, with some light oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting good rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing overall, with some scattered impressions to the checkering. MLW
