Circa 1974. Stunning Italian-built over-under shotgun with 30" monobloc black satin finish barrels. The barrels are choked Full and Modified and are ported and fit with a file cut tapered, ventilated top step rib that has a white bead front sight and steel middle bead. The side rib is also ventilated. The right side of the upper barrel is marked “CUSTOM CRAFTED BY MANIFATTURA ARMI PERAZZI”. The left side of the upper barrel is marked “ITHACA GUN COMPANY-ITHACA-NEW YORK // 12 GA. 2 3/4 CHAMBER – MADE IN ITALY // MX8”. The underside of the bottom barrel is marked “ACCIAIO SPECIAL”. The left side of the upper barrel which is covered by the forend is marked with 1 star and “18.4”. The left side of the lower barrel is marked “KG1.620” with 2 stars over “18.4”. The barrel flat is marked with Italian proofs, “XXX”, “MAP", "CAM.70" and 44757”. The coin finish boxlock action has a smooth gold washed single inertia trigger protected by an engraved trigger guard, removable trigger group, and pinned checkered and engraved safety slide. The action body is adorned with bold foliate scroll engraving on stippled ground and is signed by the engraver "GOBBI" on the right side by the trigger plate. Both sides of the action body have a winged lion while the bottom has 2 winged goddesses with one holding a hare and the other a bird. The fences, top tang, and top lever are engraved. The top lever is also pierced. "BLOCCATO" is engraved on the top tang ahead of the engraved and checkered safety slide. The top of the right wall of the action body is marked with "0800" and the serial number "44757" while the left wall is marked "MAP". Highly figured honey-colored Turkish walnut stock with dark contrasting waves has pistol hand grip with a right palm swell, fine line point pattern checkering, and is finished to a black rubber recoil pad. The beavertail forend with matching checkering has a Deeley-style lever release that is also engraved. The forend hardware is marked “44757”. The gun resides in a red "PERAZZI" ABS carry case. CONDITION: Excellent, barrels retain 90% black with a rub marks from forend. Slight oxidation under finish of bottom barrel. Ejectors are well timed. Action is tight. Trigger is crisp. Stock and forend have very minor handling marks. Case is good. It is the opinion of the expert that this gun has benefited from recent total refresh. CP
