9 - 3/4" hand forged blade with no discernible wootz pattern but attractive delamination visible from hand forging. Light green jade hilt is relief carved with florals. Blade is double edged and sharp. Second handle is of a deeper coloration and also decorated with relief carved florals. Handle (display?) case with soft (silk?) covering and backed with something solid, probably wood. CONDITION: Very good. Blade has been cleaned somewhat aggressively over some old oxidation and some scratches are visible. Visible delamination from that hand forging process. Jade handles are very good and free of cracks or chips but have some imperfections and color splotches that do not detract. This is a good example of the quintessential Indian dagger. EMW
