1927 vintage Winchester Model 55 Takedown lever action rifle, serial number 6300. 24" round barrel chambered in .32 Winchester Special with half length takedown mechanism magazine tube, standard rifle rear sight, and ramped blade front with brass insert. Two piece plain walnut stock and forearm with rifle forearm cap and serrated steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good, with a majority of the original bluing remaining with areas of handling related loss throughout, especially at high edges of receiver and on barrel. Stock and forearm are very good with a old thick protective wax layer added over the original finish with areas of handling marks throughout and a small chip at top left of wrist near rear of receiver measuring less than 1". Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. TON
