Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. "P" proof in front of front sight oriented to be read with muzzle up. Left side of slide with "REMINGTON RAND INC / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.". Barrel with "P" proof on left lug, "HS" on right lug. Frame with "FJA" proof under slide release for Atwood. "P" proof under checkered magazine release. Short stamped checkered trigger. "4" on upper left of trigger guard. Right side of frame with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY / NO. (Serial number)", crossed cannon cartouche, and "M1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". Upper right trigger guard with "S", lower right trigger guard "T". Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, thick tab checkered safety, serrated slide release, long 1911A1 grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Full blue magazine with "R" on lip for Risdon manufacture. Grips are Keyes fibre grips. CONDITION: Very good, retaining virtually all of the parkerized finish, some some minor marks from handling and use throughout. Thin burnishing is visible in crossed cannon cartouche from where stamp broke parkerization. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good. EMW
