Manufactured 1945. Serrated ramp front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony. Barrel with "P" on left lug, "C" in box on right lug stamped upside down. Small "S" stamped on top of frame. Right side of frame with crossed cannon cartouche, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", serial number, and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Left side with "GHD" stamp for Drewery. "P" proof near checkered magazine release. Appropriate proofs on trigger guard. Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, thick tab safety, serrated slide release, short checkered stamped trigger, long 1911A1 grip safety, arched serrated magazine release. Grips are Keyes fibre grips. Full blue magazine stamped "L" on lip for Little manufacture. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the parkerized finish with some minor marks from handling and use. Distinct 2 tone temper line on slide towards muzzle. Some light silvering to reciprocating areas. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling. EMW
