Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. Small "P" proof just above cocking serrations on left side. Left side with "USS" insignia and "U.S. & S. CO. / SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.". Barrel with "P" proof on left side of lug, "HS" on right side of lug. Frame is marked on left side with "R.C.D." proof in circle. Right side of frame with "UNITED STATE PROPERTY" and serial number behind slide release pin, "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" in front of slide release pin. Narrow checkered hammer, thick tab checkered safety, checkered slide release, short stamped trigger, magazine release, long 1911A1 grip safety, arched knurled mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Grips are Keyes fibre without reinforcing ring. Full blue magazine with "L" on baseplate lip for Little manufacture. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the Du-Lite bluing over sandblast finish, with some marks from handling and storage. One spot of fine oxidation on rear right of slide. Some spots of browning to slide pleasantly mixing with bluing, and attractive visible temper line. Frame is very good with less browning mixing with bluing. Left grip has a crack that has gone through but is still whole. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with strong rifling. EMW
