Manufactured 1914. Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. "H" stamped appropriately at the top of the firing pin retaining plate channel. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information in serif font (last patent August 19th, 1913), with uncircled pony at rear. Barrel with "P H" stamped perpendicular to bore, "5" in front of lug. "H" and "R" stamped on top of frame. Left side of dust cover with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" mark and Stewart inspection. Right side of frame with serial number. Checkered spurred hammer, thick tab safety with relief mill cut, checkered slide release with relief cut. Checkered magazine release, long smooth trigger. Short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond checkered walnut grips. 2 tone magazine with lanyard loop. CONDITION: Very good, retaining well over half of the Colt factory bluing. Right side of slide is basically smooth brown patina with some flashes of blue, while left side of slide has much blue. Frame has vast majority of bluing left with grip straps essentially patina. Silvering to high edges consistent with holster use, and some other scattered marks from handling and use, including takedown mark. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling and some frosting. EMW
