1910 vintage Winchester 3rd Model 1873 lever action saddle ring carbine, serial number 662852B. 20" round barrel chambered in .44 Winchester Centerfire (.44-40 WCF) with full length magazine tube, folding ladder rear sight, and Marbles 94-C pinned carbine front sight. Barrel has British proof and view markings on right side with "44" "1-30' 33-200 NOT ENGLISH MAKE" following it. British proof mark on right flat of receiver near barrel. Two piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with carbine buttplate with storage compartment (compartment is empty). CONDITON: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned to an even, mottled dove-grey patina. Stock and forearm are very good as heavily cleaned with no discernable cracks and handling marks throughout. Action is crisp and tight. Bore is frosted with well-defined rifling. TON
