Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information in serif font (last patent date February 14th, 1911), with Colt pony at rear, uncircled. Right side with "MODEL OF 1911. U.S.ARMY" with serif font. Barrel with "P H" stamped perpendicular to bore on hood, "T" on left side of lug. "H" "4" stamped on top of frame. Left side of dust cover with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", left side of frame with Penfield proof. Right side of frame with serial number. Checkered spurred hammer, checkered slide release with relief mill cut, thin tab safety with relief mill cut, long smooth trigger, short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond walnut grips. 2 tone magazine with lanyard loop. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the Colt blue finish. Some losses towards muzzle consistent with holster use. Slide with more patina across the top than balance of gun, and a spot of light oxidation on left side of slide. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with some light frosting in grooves. EMW
