Manufactured 1941. Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Slide appropriately numbered to the frame under the firing pin retaining plate. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony. Left side of barrel chamber marked "COLT 45 AUTO", "P" on left lug. Top of frame marked "G" and with "R.S." in box near disconnector hole. Left side of frame with "R.S." inspector proof for Sears. "P' proof under checkered magazine release. Left side of trigger guard with "X" and Colt VP proof. Right side of frame with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", serial number, "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY", and right side of trigger guard with "69". Fully checkered walnut grips. Small parts comprise checkered spurred hammer, checkered slide release, checkered safety, short checkered trigger, checkered magazine release, long 1911A1 grip safety, arched knurled mainspring housing. Full blue magazine marked "COLT / 45 AUTO. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the Colt blue finish with some even scattered browning to slide and some silvering to high edges towards muzzle consistent with holster wear. Some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with softened rifling and some frosting in grooves. EMW
