Lot consists of: (A) World War I vintage Smith & Wesson Model 1917 .45 ACP double action revolver. Blued finish, 5 - 1/2" barrel, half-moon front sight, U-notch rear, and 6-shot fluted cylinder. Barrel stamped on bottom "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and right "S. & W. D.A. 45". Frame marked with "GHS" inspector stamp and "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917". Trigger retains original case colors, but the hammer and cylinder release have been gold washed. Lanyard loop removed and aftermarket Pachmayr rubber finger groove grips added. CONDITION: Good. Vast majority of factory blue retained with some light wear, a dragline, and a few spots of loss on cylinder. Light evidence of corrosion present under grips. Gold wash shows wear with losses. Good bore and mechanics. (B) Stainless Smith & Wesson 629-3 Classic .44 Magnum double action revolver. 5" full lug barrel with matte rib, red insert ramped front sight, adjustable square notch rear, 6-shot fluted cylinder, wide serrated target trigger, and finger groove S&W medallion rubber grips. CONDITION: Very good. Some light wear to stainless in addition to a dragline. Grips have a few scuffs. Good bore with strong rifling, and crisp mechanics. BAS
