1878 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 46872. 4 - 3/4" round barrel in .45 Colt with 2-line barrel address, blade front sight, and V-frame notch rear. "Donut" ejector rod head and blackpowder frame. Custom engraved with scroll on a punchdot background. Name of engraver or date of engraving are unknown. Nickel-plated finish. Aftermarket Colt 1-piece bone grips featuring a silver medallion with a Rampant Colt on either side. CONDITION: Excellent, with virtually all of the reapplied nickel finish remaining with minimal handling marks. Cylinder has a dragline. Grips are ill-fitting and are proud to front and backstrap but are strong with no major signs of distress. Action is loose when hammer is forward but advances properly when hammer is cocked. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
