1876 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 25887. 7 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .45 Colt with single line barrel address, blade front sight, and V-frame notch rear. Blackpowder frame with donut ejector rod head. Custom engraved with scroll on a punchdot background and further embellished with wrigglework, sunbursts, and crosshatching in nearly full coverage. Name of engraver or date of engraving unknown. Nickel-plated finish. 2-piece plain aftermarket Sambar Stag grips. CONDITION: Very good with virtually all of the added nickel-plated finish remaining with scattered handling and storage marks. Engraving is sharp. Grips are very proud to grip frame and do not fit well but are strong with no major signs of distress. Action needs attention as it advances properly when hammer is pulled rearward but has excessive sideshake when in lockup. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
