Standard configuration of a Colt 3rd Generation Colt Single Action Army with 7 - 1/2" barrel in .45 Long Colt. Fire blued screws with 2 piece walnut stocks retained by central retaining screw and Colt golden medallion. Revolver is well engraved and nickel plated by Weldon Lister, an acknowledged FEGA master engraver, in a tasteful American/Nimschke scroll pattern accented with punch dot engraving and crosshatch shading in approximately C class coverage, including a wolf motif hammer. Engraving is signed by Lister underneath the barrel, just on the frame under the cylinder axis pin. Backstrap is engraved "Wm. Barrett Morris", which accompanying paperwork indicates was intended for Michael C. Barrett to give to his relative, William Barrett Morris but the gun was never given for some reason. Barrett was a long time customer of Lister and paperwork further indicates that Barrett singlehandedly kept Lister in business during the 2008-2009 recession. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the nickel finish with some minor clouding and spots of discoloration. Fire blue is fading on high points but very good overall. Grips are very good with some minor handling marks but are ovesized and not of a quality fit. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling and some darkness in grooves. This is a lovely gun engraved by an acknowledged master. EMW
