Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT" followed by "ARMY / SPECIAL" and "38", with the top bearing Colt's 2-line address. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a factory blue finish, 5" barrel, half moon front sight, frame notched rear sight, and 2-piece Colt hard rubber grips. Matching numbers are found on the frame and cylinder crane, and are also hand scribed on the interior of the grips. Revolver is accompanied by a "Jackthedog" auction description. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, showing a couple of superficial scratches and handling marks, as well as some areas of freckling on the frame and grips. Forward sideplate screw shows some marring. Cylinder bears a light dragline. Mirror bore, retaining fine rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, showing only a few minor marks from handling and storage. A high condition and attractive Colt Army Special revolver. MLW
