Beautifully custom engraved Winchester Model 42 slide action shotgun built by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1951. Gun has totally been customized by Daniel B. Marshall of Hazelton, Pennsylvania in 1974 with letter from workman confirming work. Gun has blued 26" factory marked barrel with Simmons ventilated rib with Tru-Glo front sight and bead back sight. Markings on barrel are typical factory with the removal of choke marking to add floral gold line bordered pattern on each side of barrel. Blued full coverage floral and game scene engraved takedown receiver with gold line border and 10 large floral and animal gold inlays on sides and trigger guard of action. Gun has French walnut oak leaf carved border checkered pistol grip Monte Carlo stock with steel grip cap engraved in gold "MOD 42 WIN" with original "WINCHESTER" plastic buttplate. French Walnut large oak leaf carved border checkered slide handle with parkerized magazine tube. Comes in blue felt-lined wooden fitted case. CONDITION: 95% plus refurbished condition with appearing to have been fired very little since refurbishment. A super high-quality upgrade! DLM
