Single fiber optic front sight on a Simmons Gun Specialties serrated vent rib. Breech end of barrel has been accented with well-cut scroll on a smooth ground but enhanced with a mixture of hatching and crosshatching to shade. Gold wire has also been inlaid including as a lozenge around legends reading "MODEL 12 - 20 GA. - 2 3/4 CHAM / WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" and "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A.". Tube forearm has been carved with florals on a stippled ground around a checkered panel. Rear of magazine tube engraved with a small triangle of scroll enhanced by hatch and crosshatch engraving. Receiver has been engraved by Daniel Marshall (signed in front of the carrier) in near complete coverage of scroll accented with hatch and crosshatch shading and gold wire. Right side of receiver engraved with a vignette depicting a raised relief pair of gold (rose gold?) birds, an eagle swooping down on a mallard with claws out over a river scene, and flanked by bouquets, while left side depicts another relief pointer pointing on the pair in a meadow with flanking bouquets. Underside of receiver with Marshall's signature "ENG BY D. MARSHALL / HAZLETON, PA". Serial number and "SKEET" inlaid in gold wire. Trigger guard with raised relief gold bouquet. Pistol grip cap with gold wire border and gold wire inlay "MOD-12-WIN PRESENTATION". Somewhat plain stock with pistol grip checkered and accented by florals on a stippled ground en suite with forearm. Monte Carlo shadowline cheekpiece. Pachmayr white line solid recoil pad. Housed in a custom walnut case with a business card taped to the front for Charles Syak, with gun information on front. CONDITION: Excellent as custom embellished. Retains virtually all of the blued finish and wirework with crisp engraving. Some very minor marks from handling and use, including some minor silvering to the magazine tube from contact with forearm. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent, bright, and shiny. Case is very good with some marks from storage and use throughout. This is a wonderful custom 20 gauge Model 12.
