No. 1 single shot rifle in .458 Winchester Magnum manufactured by Ruger in 1997. The top of the barrel bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer information, with the left side bearing ".458 WIN. MAG." towards the breech. The top of the chamber is stamped "RUGER" within a banner above "No. 1". Features include a blued finish, 24" heavy barrel, bead front sight, flip up rear sight, integral scope mount, tang safety, walnut forearm & pistol grip buttstock, as well as a Ruger recoil pad. Walnut forearm and buttstock feature multi-point checkering, with the buttstock retaining the rear sling swivel. CONDITION: Excellent overall, with metal components retaining virtually all of their factory blue finish, showing few light superficial marks from handling and storage marks. Lever shows a few small spots of wear from manual operation of the action. Mirror bore, exhibiting fine well defined rifling throughout. Walnut furniture shows a few minor impressions from handling and storage, but is otherwise fine. A high condition and attractive Ruger No. 1 single shot rifle. MLW
