Winchester Model 12 slide action shotgun. Made post-1968 with a Y prefix on the serial number. This gun is in Pigeon grade configuration. Standard company address on the left side of the barrel. Winchester proofs on the frame and barrel. Matching serials on the frame and front assembly. Round steel barrel with a full vent rib and bead sights. Receiver is polished blued, while the barrel assembly is dark, black finish. This is most likely how this gun came from the factory, this late in production. Bolt and elevator were jeweled from the factory. Oil finished wood stocks with checkering on the wrist and forearm. Capped pistol grip. Factory red rubber butt pad. CONDITON: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Stock has a few dings and scratches, but is excellent overall. Bore is shiny. Mechanically fine. JWA
