Winchester Model 61 slide action rifle. Made 1952 as classic takedown model. Standard trademark on the barrel. Left side of the barrel is marked "MODEL 61/.22 S.L.OR L.R.". Matching serials on the frame and trigger group. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Non grooved receiver. Blade front sight and a u-notch rear leaf. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Original oil finished wood stock and ribbed forearm. Checkered metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear and scratches. There is some freckles of surface rust on the barrel as well. There are a few spots of cleaned oxidation on the frame. Wood has a few handling marks, with some finish loss on the butt. Solid forearm with no cracks. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
