Nice World War I 339th Ambulance Company photo, ephemera, and revolver grouping attributed to Edward Bertram. The grouping includes 29 large photos, 24 small photos, newspaper clippings, the menu for the 337th's return dinner in Detroit in 1919, polar bear reunion medal, North Russia polar bear patch, Type I USNA and medical collar discs, and wool overseas hat. The photo content shows the soldiers in North Russia, barracks, sled teams, soldier antics, civilians, ambulances, and military drills. The patch is very nice and is of 2-piece felt construction. The revolver is a double action hammerless similar to a British Bulldog and marked Baby American with serial number 1175. 2 - /4" barrel in a .38 caliber cartridge. 2 piece plain bone grips. CONDITION: The revolver is in fair condition with traces of nickel plating mixing with a heavy brown patina. The grips are good with large crack on right grip panel. Cylinder will not advance and trigger will not return forward. Bore is dark. The newspaper clippings and ephemera exhibit small tears and have yellowed over time. The photos are clear and many exhibit tears and rough edges. The insignia has been well preserved, hat exhibits typical wear. Overall fair-good. JLD
