Made entirely of welded sheet steel and wired for four warning lights. Warning light assemblies are missing and not included with this lot. Rotating block letters "STOP" pivot 90 degrees from invisible position to visible position as train approaches and lights flash. Marquee is standard railroad crossbuck on top of unit body. Included with this sale are a three-ring binder with numerous photographs, patent drawings, and claims, as well as letter exchanges between the S-W Supply Company and the Santa Fe Railway, and additionally, a brass-handled, plywood box 27 - 1/2" wide x 31 - 1/2" tall x 16 - 1/2" deep, with "The SLAWSON AUTOMATIC RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNAL" nicely painted in silver on the front.
