Lot consists of (A) World War II slot brooch Purple Heart contained in its original coffin case and accompanied by a small War Department forward card. The medal is not numbered but is named to "Merrill C. Davenport" in government style hand engraving. CONDITION: The medal is very clean overall, and the case exhibits scattered blemishes including large pockmarks. The cushion for the lapel pin is missing. Overall good. (B) World War II slot brooch Purple Heart with lapel pin contained in its original coffin case. The medal is not numbered but is named to "Adrian W. Kieley" in government style hand engraving. CONDITION: The medal is very clean overall, and the case is also clean, exhibiting a few scattered blemishes. Overall very good. JLD
