L.C. Smith Crown Grade side by side shotgun made by the Hunter Arms Company in Fulton, New York in 1926. Blued Crown Steel barrels with full factory ventilated rib, twin bead sights, and ejectors. Barrels have original owner's name and crest electropenciled on the side of the barrels. Barrels marked on top "L.C.SMITH CROWN GRADE" and "MADE TO ORDER BY HUNTER ARMS CO, FULTON, N.Y. U.S.A.". Case hardened regular weight frame with full coverage vignette and "Dog in Circle" engraving. Gun has Hunter One-Trigger single selective trigger, tang safety, and gold crown on opening lever. Figured walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black plastic grip cap and period ventilated recoil pad. Checkered Schnabel type beavertail factory forearm with roller latch release. Beautifully optioned gun. Comes with factory quick check letter verifying options. CONDITION: 90% fading barrel blue with sharp barrel engraving and some light case wear. Traces of original engine turn on bores. 80% case colors with most in protected areas. Screws have been turned. Wood has 85% original finish with some chipping and line cracks behind the sideplates with sharp checkering and usage marks and dings. Good bores and mechanics with left ejector sticking. A nice honest gun. DLM
