L.C. Smith Eagle Grade side by side shotgun made by Hunter Arms Company, Fulton, New York in 1924. One of 562 in this grade made and one of 161 with factory 32" barrels. Nitro Steel reinforced blued barrels with matted rib, gold rib band, ejectors, twin beads, and factory 3" chambers. Barrels are marked "L.C. SMITH EAGLE GRADE" on right barrel and " HUNTER ARMS CO. M'F'R'S FULTON N.Y. U.S.A." on left with engraved bores. Case hardened regular frame floral engraved sidelock action with Pheasant on left plate, Duck on right, and Eagle on the opening lever. Gun has Hunter One-Trigger single selective trigger and non-automatic safety. Figured walnut English grip checkered stock with added Pachmayr vented pad. Flat style checkered walnut beavertail forearm with roller latch. Comes with factory quick check letter verifying some of the options. CONDITION: 90% plus fading barrel blue with wear on edges from use and case wear. Engine turn still visible on ends of bores. Action has 60% fading case colors with balance in protected areas. Action screws have been turned. Wood has small hairline crack behind right sidelock and some small chips at tang and left sidelock. Two small nicks in right and left barrels right in front of beavertail. Good bores and mechanics with right ejector being a little sticky. A super rare gun that has been cared for. DLM
