Hunter Special side by side shotgun made by Hunter Arms Company, Fulton, New York between 1937 and 1945, being one of 295 made in .410 Caliber. Blued fluid steel barrels with matted high rib sight plane, single bead front sight, and extractors. Barrels marked on top "Hunter Special" and "Hunter Arms Co. Inc. M'F'R'S Fulton, New York, U.S.A.". Case hardened boxlock action marked "Hunter Special" on each side with double triggers and automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate and grip cap. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: 85% original varnish with some usage wear and scratches and fade marks. 90% case colors with carry wear. Screws have been turned. 90% original stock finish. Stock has some light scratches and dings. Good bore and mechanics. A hard to find gun in this condition. DLM
