Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 Featherweight Supergrade bolt action rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1956. 22" blued Winchester Proof Steel Featherweight tapered round barrel fitted with correct line pattern hooded front ramp sight and correct Lyman 16B rear folding sight, in caliber .358 Winchester. Barrel marked with 2-line Winchester address and "MODEL - 70 - FEATHERWEIGHT - 358 WIN. -" with unmarked underside common after 1956 and on. Matted finish action with hollow handle bolt, with correct configuration bolt body serial numbered to the gun with an electropencil. Winchester walnut Supergrade style checkered Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with black plastic forend cap, correct steel grip cap, blued quick detachable sling swivel bases, and added factory-style Winchester red rubber recoil pad. Aluminum quick detachable floorplate marked "-SUPER GRADE-". CONDITION: Rifle appears to be factory correct with addition of factory-style pad. 95% original barrel blue with light discolored area near muzzle with 95% original action finish. 95% original varnish with some light handling marks. Bolt handle has some splotchy marks with a little cold blue added. Missing swivels and leather sling. Excellent bore and mechanics. DLM
