1889 vintage Winchester 3rd Model 1873 lever action rifle, serial number 287793B. 24" round barrel chambered in .32 Winchester Centerfire with rifle rear sight, full length magazine tube, and blade front. Two-piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate. Comes with a factory letter confirming configuration as well as a ship date of May 23, 1889. CONDITION: Excellent plus with nearly all of the bright original bluing remaining with the exception of the top of the frame near chamber which is turning a brown patina and minor handling marks throughout. Stock and forearm are excellent as cleaned with finish added and handling marks throughout but are strong with no discernable cracks. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
