Winchester Model 70 Super Grade in desirable .220 Swift caliber made in 1948 by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Winchester Proof Stainless Steel two-line address 26" barrel with matted finish, hooded ramp front sight (missing hood), and 22G rear sight (missing). Barrel marked on underside "220S ST 48". Matted finish action with solid handle bolt serial numbered "93975" with electropencil on bolt body with late Type II three-position safety. Blued steel detachable floorplate marked "Super Grade". Walnut Super Grade checkered pistol grip low comb stock with European style cheekpiece, black forend tip, Winchester logo grip cap, Widow's Peak steel checkered buttplate with original detachable sling swivels, and original leather sling. CONDITION: 90% barrel finish with some edge wear. 90% action finish with missing plug screws. 90% floorplate blue with handling wear. 90% original varnish with hunting dings and marks.
