Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt encircled with "COLT'S/ *NEW SERVICE*" logo as well as the "VP" proof. Major metal components exhibit an early high polish blue finish, with some smaller components exhibiting a nitre blued finish. Features include a 5 - 1/2" barrel, clipped blade front sight, frame notched rear sight, lanyard swivel, and 2-piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Matching numbers include the frame, cylinder crane, and grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting areas of wear, thinning, and some cleaned surface oxidation that shows through to gray and brown patinas.
