A Canadian J. Boxall brass top No. 39 lantern with double guard. Nicely embossed "C.P Ry." on the lid. Bayonet base has unique Boxall retention spring like Kelly and is equipped with brakeman's spikes (often referred to as "ice spikes"). Burner is missing. Lantern is painted black and appears to be in very good condition under paint. Globe is a stunning signal green No. 39 extended base example, embossed in large block font "CPR" in strong relief.
