Standard configuration P.08 Luger manufactured by DWM during the Great War. Receiver is stamped "1917" over the chamber, with arsenal proofs on the right-hand side. Toggle bears the "DWM" monogram. Barrel is a later replacement, bearing a faint Mauser eagle over "655" waffenamt. Metal components have been reblued, with strawed components also being blued. Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, trigger, sideplate, safety lever and bar, hold-open latch, trigger bar, forward toggle link, and extractor. Remaining components do not match. "i" serial number prefix has been restamped. Complete with an additional later production magazine and contemporary Luger manual. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, showing few areas of wear as well as some areas of oxidation beneath the finish. Bore is bright and retains good rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing as well as some scattered nicks to the diamonds. Left grip panel is chipped at the safety lever. MLW
