Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 bolt action rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1959. 26" blued tapered round Winchester Proof Steel standard weight barrel originally chambered for .300 H&H Magnum and now marked after caliber "WBY" indicating it has been rechambered to 300 Weatherby Magnum by an unknown gunsmith, fitted with hooded ramp front sight (missing hood) and Lyman 16B folding rear sight. Matted finish Pre-64 claw extractor action with hollow handled bolt, electropenciled with matching action serial number, and three position safety. Walnut checkered Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with blue detachable floorplate, sling swivels, and added Pachmayer vented recoil pad. CONDITION: 90% barrel blue with some light handling marks. 90% action finish with marks from scope installation. Wood has 90% original varnish with sharp checkering with finish worn from area where recoil pad was added. Excellent bore and mechanics. Should be checked by a professional gunsmith before firing.
