These shooting trophies were made for Hunter Arms / L.C. Smith during the 1920s by the Lenox China Company. They were made in different sizes and colors. These trophies were generally awarded by various shooting clubs to the shooter having the highest aggregate score for the year. The trophy in this lot stands 13" tall. Rosewood color with a hand-painted Spaniel dog under the glaze. Gothic style script in gold: "Hunter Arms Co./First Prize/Class 'A". CONDITION: Excellent overall. Glaze is lightly crazed. No chips noticed. Some lettering in the inscription is missing. MKS
