Trumpet is ornated engraved "Presented To Forman F. M. Eckel by the Members of Pacific Engine Co. No. 1 of Bridgeport Conn. Oct 3rd 1883". Bell has numerous engraved decorations of firefighting equipment and utensils, including a horse-drawn steam pumper, hose nozzles, axes, Halligan tools, etc. as well as ladders, fire helmets and fire hydrants.
