Savage Model 99 lever action rifle with scope. Made 1921. 2 line company address/patent dates on the top of the barrel. "SAVAGE HI-PRESSURE STEEL/22-H.P." marked on the left side of the chamber. Round steel barrel with pedestal front sight (blade is missing). Rear iron sight is missing as well. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored lever. Straight grip wood stock and forearm, both having their original light oil finish. Serrated metal butt plate. Includes attached Simmons 3 - 9x40 scope and a generic leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Wood has a few scuffs and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Scope is very good overall with a clear optic. Base is loose. Sling is very good. JWA
