Smith and Wesson K22 double action revolver in .22lr. Made 1948. Standard trade mark on the right side of the frame. "MADE IN U.S.A." marked on the right side of the frame as well. "22 LONG RIFLE CTG" marked between two Maltese crosses on the right side of the barrel. "SMITH & WESSON" marked on the right side of the barrel. Marching serial numbers on the barrel, butt and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and yolk. Round steel barrel with a full rib. Blade front sight with an adjustable rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled hammer. Includes later production smooth finish target grips with "S&W" medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear. There is some light surface rust on the cylinder. Grips have a hew handling marks and scratches, but are excellent overall. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lock up. Light drag line on the cylinder. JWA
