Colt Model 1903 double action revolver. Made 1903. Standard company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. "COLT.D.A.38" marked on the left side of the barrel. "J.E.H." and "R.A.C." inspector stamps throughout. "1904" stamped on the left side of the frame. "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1903" retained on the butt. Matching assembly numbers on the frame, yolk and cylinder release. Grips are not numbered. Round, steel barrel with half moon front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Original walnut grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean overall with crisp rifling. Gun is functional, but is incredibly stiff in both double and single action. May need entirely disassembled and cleaned. JWA
