Model 1922 manufactured by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation during World War II. Receiver, frame, and barrel bear 2 Eagle over "WaA140" waffenamts as well as an eagle firing proof. Left side of frame is stamped "FN" within an oval, with the right side bearing 2 "A" within a square proofs. Magazine bears a stylized "FN" logo stamp above 765m/m. Matching numbers are right side of the frame & barrel, as well as on the interior of the slide. Grips appear to be comprised of a semi-transparent vulcanite. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear that have worn through to gray patina, as well as some areas of thinning that show through to patina. Grip straps and rear of frame exhibit a gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting some cosmoline and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
