Standard features include a 28" full octagon barrel, full magazine, Rocky Mountain front sight, buckhorn rear sight. Marlin's first lever action rifle, chambered for the .45-70 government cartridge and made from 1881-92. Factory letter confirms caliber, barrel length and pistol grip stock. CONDITION: The factory high polish mirror blue is stunning with just some light freckling and minor high edge wear retaining fully 98% original finish. The barrel and tube show some light high edge and muzzle wear but are a true 97-98% with sharp edges and razor sharp legends. The case colors on the sides of hammer and lever are brilliant. The deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stocks are sharp with just some minor handling marks. The steel shotgun butt still shows some bright colors as well. The forend cap has turned a soft patina. The rifling is well defined and the action crisp. DB
