Lot consists of: (A) Remington Model 03-A3 bolt action rifle. Made November 1943, with a Remington marked "9-43" barrel. Remington marked "R" bolt and components. Remington trigger guard as well. Boxed "FJA" cartouche on the left side, behind a crossed cannons cartouche. There is a boxed "C-S.A.A." on the right side of the stock. Original blade front sight and adjustable rear. "R" marked front sight protector. Metal components have their original parkerized finish, with the stock parts being correctly blued. Stock has its original light oil finish. Blued checkered metal butt plate. Includes an undated green canvas sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear. Stock has a few dings, scratches and dents. Bore is clean overall, with crisp 2 groove rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 1. Mechanically fine. Sling has light wear. (B) Springfield Model 1903 Mark I bolt action rifle. Made 1919. Springfield marked barrel dated "10-19" under a ordnance flaming bomb. "U" marked swept back bolt. Stock has a boxed "M.R.S." cartouche on the left side. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Correct blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 2,700 yards. Metal components have their original military blued finish. Straight grip stock with finger grooves. Stock has its original light oil finish. Smooth metal butt plate with trapdoor. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general wear and scratches. Stock has handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted, but retains strong rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 4. Mechanically fine. JWA
