Lot consist of: (A) Steyr Model 1895/30 straight pull bolt action carbine. Made at the Steyr factory circa 1919. The rifle was later updated for the M30 cartridge, noted by the "S" on the chamber. Chamber also bares a "W-n-19" acceptance date. Import marked on the receiver, in addition to an importer applied serial number. Matching serials on the barrel, receiver, stock, and bolt. Front band does not match. Bolt was electro pencil matched. Faint Austrian proofs on the right side of the barrel/chamber. Most parts are stamped "K" for Steyr. Stock has two stamped cartouches on the left side. Blade front sight with the original rear sight adjustable to 2,200 meters. Arsenal refurbished (most likely in Bulgaria). CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Stock has a few dings and scratches but is excellent overall. Bore is lightly frosted with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Italian Carcano Model 1941 straight-pull bolt action rifle. Made 1942 at the "FAT" arsenal as marked on the chamber. Italian proofs on the chamber. Faint cartouche on the stock. Matching serials on the chamber and stock. Bolt is correctly not numbered. Blade front sight with rear adjustable to 1000 meters. Battle sight is present as well. Original blued finish. Stock has a varnished finish (looks post-war). CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Some dried grease in areas as well. Stock has a few dings and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted, but rifling is crisp. Mechanically fine. JWA
