Colt Officer's Model double action revolver. Made 1913. Standard company address on top of the barrel. "OFFICERS MODEL 38" marked on the left side of the barrel between 2 Maltese crosses. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round steel barrel with adjustable blade front sight and u-notch rear. Metal components were refinished at some point. Checkered trigger and spurred hammer. Checkered wood grips with gold Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its reapplied finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Grips have light wear. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Hammer and cylinder are tight. Good lock up and timing. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
