Fourth Model Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless .38 S&W double action only revolver manufactured from 1898 to 1907. Nickel finished with tip up ribbed barrel, 2-line address, half moon front sight, u-notch rear sight, 5-shot fluted cylinder, blued trigger guard, case hardened trigger, grip safety, and 2-piece pearl grips with S&W medallions. Housed in later 1920s style purple hinged patent box with no end label. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory applied nickel finish is retained with some light surface scratching and a drag line. Grips very good with a few minor marks. Bright bore with strong rifling. Indexes correctly. Matching numbers observed on frame, cylinder, and barrel catch. Box very good with some light wear and no labels. BAS
