Late Model Henry 1860 lever action rifle manufactured in 1864, serial number 6876. 24" barrel chambered in .44 Rimfire with integral magazine tube. Ladder rear sight graduated to 900 yards with German silver blade front sight. Plain straight grain walnut buttstock with rifle buttplate and sling swivel on left side as well as left side of barrel assembly. Assembly number "444" visible on round portion of barrel underneath loading gate and rear of loading gate. Matching serial number observed on top flat of barrel, top tang channel of stock, left side of lower tang, and inside of buttplate. Letter "H" is stamped on lower tang and "CH" stamped on lower tang channel of stock. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with iron assemblies turned a pleasing dove grey patina throughout. Frame is very good as cleaned at some point but is beginning to regain a mustard patina. Stock is excellent and strong with a layer of oil added. Front tang screw is a replacement as well as magazine spring. Action is crisp. Bore is dark with well-defined rifling. An attractive American classic ready for display. TON
